Anger.
It’s flooding through your veins. It’s burning your head. It’s smashing your soul. Anger is like an animal, sometimes naive, sometimes wild. When your ego is hurt, defense mode is on. Your inner animal emerges and overshadows mindful thoughts. Deep inside, your mere desire is to pounce on that devil who dared to provoke you. Unfortunately, these devilish wishes sent over 6,200 people to the hospitals within 12 days of 2015 Tet holiday. 11 of them eventually died. Others acquired insomnia, heart attacks, suicide, and depression. It’s not hopeless, however, when you know how to tame your temper. The purpose of “Tame your Temper” campaign is to help the Vietnamese youth manage their anger and avoid aggression. This project will provide them with skills to recognize signs of becoming angry, and what appropriate actions to be taken. |
